MS2011 Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 Good morning all My manager agreed training for me my technician. Any suggestions for good training course which help us to progress in IT. Thanks MS
TJ-Diggers Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 @certMatters Prodigy Learning are always offering free MTA’s Exams which are perfect for technicians. They can then use the Microsoft training site to revise. They also give away free MOS exams
dmj Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 Get an annual subscription to pluralsight. There's tonnes on there.
Norphy Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 PluralSight is good, but don’t let them use that as a reason to forego actual training. Sometimes there is no substitute for getting time with an instructor and being able to ask questions or use labs.
Kitkatninja Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Take a look at the various IT apprenticeship programs available via the Apprenticeship Levy (you don't have to be paid an apprentice wage)... They start at level 3 and go up to degree (a full BSc), and contain a variety of different training (dependant on training provider); including service management, various comptia, Cisco, and MS training/exams, etc... 1

Kitkatninja Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I have done CCNA, Microsoft and google level 1 . While working in IT can I do apprenticeship course ? Yes you can, the only question is will your employer allow you to tap into their apprenticeship levy for the funding of it and give you the time to do it during work hours (it works out approx 1 day a week)? You can do level 3, level 4 or the degree apprenticeships. See here for an example of a IT Degree Apprenticeship (from the OU, however they aren't the only degree apprenticeship provider). Here's what the level 3 ICT Apprenticeship program is like. 1

Kitkatninja Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 Any suggestions for paid course? Depends, what do you want to study? Are you just looking for the training or the training and a qualification at the end? What level are you looking for?
