penfold Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 I have a new laptop and headphones and when I'm using Teams and I mute/unmute myself I get a message "mute on/off" when toggling this. From what I can see this is a config in the headphones software, but I don't have any software installed. Is there somewhere in Win 10 which I can go to to disable this notification? It's really annoying because the "mute off" message comes on over the top of the meeting I am having.
TechMonkey Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 It will be built in to the headset so need the headset configured, which Win10 will not know about. Which headphones are they? I used to have Poly ones that did this and if you had the software you could change all kinds of cool settings.
Norphy Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 It’s probably a driver, I had a Plantronics headset that did similar when the driver was installed 1
penfold Posted June 8, 2022 Author Posted June 8, 2022 @TechMonkey Yeah they are poly ones. I am just looking for some software to test now
TechMonkey Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Had a quick look and it would probably be the Plantronics Hub https://www.poly.com/gb/en/support/downloads-apps I miss my Plantronic/Poly headset
penfold Posted June 20, 2022 Author Posted June 20, 2022 I installed the Plantronics hub software and managed to change the settings. Thanks All
