What is the best and most straight forward to image and restore images to a bunch of mac's

We will be having some macbook pro laptops and Imac's.

We would perfer to do this over our network similar to how we image and restore our machines incase we need to image a bunch all at the same time.

We also have a xserve server as well.

Also is apple remote desktop the best soloution for remote desktops onto the these machines.

OS X server has some disk imaging supplied with it, not perfect but one of the things that does work. Netinstall with boot a machine over the network to install it.

Apple remote desktop is probably the best way, I use it here too.

When I discussed some new Macs with the people at the Apple store in Kingston, they were quite keen on DeepFreeze - restores your Mac to a set state on each reboot / login. Didn't wind up getting Macs in the end, so don't have any empirical data as to performance.

Please read the stickies at the top of this area of the site.

There are clear guides in there about imaging and a careful search will also point you at a number of other websites that can help too.
