Touch Typing Application - Chromebooks - Primary School

[foolsgold]

I have a primary school that has asked for a Touch Typing application/package. They're a Google school and use Chromebooks.

Ideally they want something that's free or low cost. Any recommendations of apps suitable for primary school children?

I used BBC bitesize online for a lunchtime club with some Year 2 pupils: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zf2f9j6/articles/z3c6tfr

Essentially the same exercises that were in the course I used on my BBC micro several decades ago.

I always recommend ZType. Its an Asteroids type game so the kids usually enjoy it.

TypingClub is fantastic, 100's of levels to go through. Bitesize's Dance Mat is a great for the first introduction to typing in LSK1
