IT Engineer – Supporting 3 schools – up to £27,000 DOE + great benefits

 

Colwyn Technologies (part of Flywheel IT Services Ltd) are looking for a talented and motivated IT Engineer, who has a real flair for technology and thrives on providing exemplary customer service, to support three schools within the Reading/Hounslow areas as their IT Engineer.

The IT Engineer is responsible for supporting the IT services of three schools (3 days, 1 day, 1 day split at different schools) with a particular emphasis on customer service.

Key accountabilities

 

• Ownership and initiative. Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve incidents or changes allocated by the Service Manager.
  
• Service focus. Maintain focus on the whole life of service delivery: from the first touch point to the closure of the incident.
  
• Team. Supporting the team to build a culture of continuous improvement.
  

Key challenges

 

• Maintain a close view of service incidents, their impacts on BAU activities.
  
• Accurately document and record IT services to support the remote and local team.
  
• Be responsive to requests for support whilst delivering against agreed SLA’s and objectives.
  

Requirements

 

• IT support experience with schools highly desirable
  
• Experience in a technical support or service delivery function within an IT environment
  
• Must be able to work the following hours 08:00am to 16:30pm on site
  
• Access to a car with the ability to travel between school sites (Reading and Hounslow)
