Netsweeper - Block /CBBC/Games but not all of BBC

Hi all,

have been trying to block just this one section of the bbc website but not the whole thing.

I have added it as a path, as a keyword onto our student's deny lists to no avail.

 

Is it at all possible to block sections /pages off of specific websites without blocking the whole site?

EDIT: forgot to add: "Games" is already selected as blocked in the categories page of the Student policy.

HTTPS inspection is needed if you need to block based on full URLs and keywords. Without HTTPS inspection all the filter can see is the domain. It could be you have an exclusion for the BBC in your config. Not certain where that would be on a Netsweeper.

Hello yes it is so long as you are using SSL decryption.

 

I note you're in London? I think LGFL only do SSL decryption on Google and nothing else. @PaddyNewman should be able to advise?

Thank you for your input. I was able to touch base with Adept/LGfL.

In case anyone else arrives at this page looking for an answer, the issue lay on ensuring that the selective decryption list had been assigned to the required policies.
