DeDupe

Morning & Happy Friday.

 

We have a drive that has DeDupe enabled but unfortunetly has filled up due a department saving LOTs of files.

 

When we have gone to delete the space is automatcily getting taken up - I think this is down to DeDupe.

 

We don't have any space to extend the drive - any ideas what we can do to get things back up and running, we have computer exams this afternoon.

Morning , this may help you, I think temporary moving files to another location is your best shot.

No but can this be run during the day while people are using it?

Yep. You'll be surprised how much space it will free up

How long shoud it take 1tb drive?

It can take a while but you should notice the free space increasing as it runs
