Hi,

Does anyone know if the versions of Maya, 3dStudio Max and Motion Builder that use FlexLM are floating licenses please?

I'm about to purchase a specific number of licences but it would be ideal if they were floating rather than node-locked. Unfortunately I can't find any info with regard to these products and FlexLM on the Autodesk website (apart from the fact that they use it).

Cheers

I think floating (at least that's the case with Autocad and other packages we have which use FlexLM)

It's actually not a bad system (as licensing systems go!) once you have it working - it takes a bit of time (it's tied to the MAC address of a server network card) and you seem to have to have a protracted exchange of emails to get things going but from then on it just works.

Thanks, I've Finlay heard back from our suppliers and they are indeed floating.
