ZeldaVet Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Hi all. For years we've relied on a group policy for Word built on this thread, but this year exams have started requiring students to create a Powerpoint with spellchecking disabled. Our current Word policy works fine with Powerpoint except for autocorrect behaviour. "Testingg" has its extra g removed for example. I was wondering if anyone else is having to deal with locking Powerpoint down for exam purposes?
BOOT Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Try installing Office without any language packs. No language pack = No proofing tools. Spelling, grammar, autocorrect etc. Add: To your Office setup config xml file.
jthompson Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 If none of the available PowerPoint group policy options are doing it, I'd start to have a look at adding deny privileges to any proofing DLL and/or dictionary (.LEX) files for a suitable security group and drop your users into that group as required.
