GPO's and icons - weird things happening

HI all,

 

We are looking at our GPO's and trying to consolidate some of them. The particular one I'm looking at is a User GPO for Shortcuts.

1) no computer component but only works when linked at the devices OU ?

2) I had a previous GPO, that picked up logos for the shortcuts from a shared drive. This now does not work. I'm using the same folder and path but it is still refusing to pick up.

 

Does anybody have any ideas?

 

Eduhobnobs in advance...... i have been at this for 3 days but am almost at my wits end!!

 

Well part 2 has solved itself with --- leaving it alone.... i should have known better

Could have loopback processing enabled so that user policies apply to a computer?

I did have this enabled but i turned it off as the policy wasn't applying anywhere...

 

i suppose it could be a holdover.....
