Hours: 37 hours per week, term time + 10 additional days

Salary: Band 4 point 7-11 (£20,444 – £22,129 pro rata) Actual Salary £18,012 – £19,497 pa

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract

The Trust’s ICT support service is a busy fast moving department, which currently has an opportunity for a professional, enthusiastic person to join the team.

Northumberland Church of England Academy Trust currently comprises eight schools as well as a central services team, our aim is to provide an inclusive and diverse learning environment for all of our students, enabling everyone in our community to “let their light shine”.

The successful candidate will contribute to developing, implementing and maintaining the Trust’s ICT strategy and services provision. They will support the Network Manager and Technical Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the Trusts ICT environment, assisting in the installation, configuration and maintenance of ICT software, hardware and related ICT equipment. They will also provide support to staff, pupils, visitors and clients to ensure business and curriculum outcomes are maximised.

The post will initially be split into 2 blocks. 50% will be at the Josephine Butler/Robert Stephenson campus which contain the Trust offices, Dukes Secondary School, Castle Special School and Bishops Primary School, working within the IT team. The other 50% will be on our other primary school sites working independently, with support available from the IT team as needed. As the Trust grows the split will gradually move to a greater emphasis on primary school support and independent working.

This position will require the post holder to operate across all the campuses in the Trust as required. The successful candidate will be approachable and resourceful with a willingness to learn.
