samuel02 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 An issue has come up with printing again. Getting error #283 and 0x000011b. I have added the FQDN of the printer to the trusted point and print servers and added RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled and RestrictDriverInstallationToAdministrators via GPO and set values to 0. Printers work fine when added manually via IP, this only occurs when I add the printer that is shared from my Print Server and try to deploy them via GPO. Anybody got any ideas how to fix this, becoming a bit of a joke now. Cheers
RLR Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 We had a couple of machines not get updated to the latest version of windows which had issue connecting printers. Once we updated them it was fine. Check the machines are at least on 1909 or higher.
samuel02 Posted March 28, 2022 Author Posted March 28, 2022 Thanks for this. Yeah, the machines that are having the issues are all 21H2. Only thing that's lacking is my Print Server which is running 2012R2, however it is fully updated.
samuel02 Posted March 28, 2022 Author Posted March 28, 2022 I have just tried to add to my laptop and this has worked. So it must be a client side issue, but apart from them being all up to date I cannot think of anything else it could be.
ajs Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 What's the actual build number of the 21H2 install? Are the cumulative updates properly installing?
samuel02 Posted March 29, 2022 Author Posted March 29, 2022 Yes, updates are deffo installing. Build: 19044.1586
