Guest Guest Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 We've always purchased devices with intel graphics as we've never had the need for a GPU. However, we've just had a CCTV system installed and my year old ThinkBook is struggling to run ivms. I'm clueless with regards to graphics cards as I've never been a gamer or used anything particularly graphics intensive. What would you recommend in terms of either laptops or GPUs? I'd like to stay on a laptop for obvious reasons Thanks
paulkerton Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 I'd guess your best option would be a laptop with Thunderbolt 3/4 and then an eGPU?
DalekSec Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 (edited) According to their documentation: Recommended Processor Intel® Xeon® E3-1226 V3 @ 3.30GHz Memory 8 GB of RAM Operating System Microsoft® Windows 7 (64-bit) Video Card Intel® HD Graphics P4600 High Performance Processor Intel® Core™ i7-6700K @ 4GHz Memory 16 GB of RAM Operating System Microsoft® Windows 7 (64-bit) Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX1070 Any 3000 series should be fine i'd imagine Edit: Most likely cheaper to buy a cheap refurb desktop and stick a GPU in it. Then access it remotly from laptop Edited March 2, 2022 by DalekSec 1
