IT and Network Manager

 

Sevenoaks Preparatory School are looking for a full time permanent leader of the School’s IT department which consists of an IT technician and IT projects technician. The ultimate goal of the role being supporting and maintaining The IT infrastructure at Sevenoaks Prep ensuring that the business of the school is facilitated with minimum disruption.

 

You will need to lead, guide, train and supervise the IT technicians, prioritising work schedules as well as delegating and managing various tasks and activities

 

You will work with the Head of Digital Creativity ( teaching role) and the Senior Management team in determining and implementing the school IT policy, security practices, data protection, email systems, internet usage, social media, data storage and retention and the telephone systems.

 

The right candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, and be able to show:

 

  • experience as a network manager or senior technician
  • experience with managing projects independently including financial planning and research
  • experience writing basic programmes or scripts
  • experience in analysing and solving technical issues
  • self motivated with good organisational skills
  • ability to work in a team
  • Degree or further education qualification in a subject relevant to IT
  • Microsoft or Apple qualifications
  • experience with any of these technologies : Windows Server, Microsoft 365 domain administration, Hyper-V, Microsoft powershell, Windows 10, OS X, iOS, WCBS PASS/3Sys, Veeam Backup, HP switches, VOIP Phones, smoothwall firewall, Lightspeed MDM Ubiquiti Unifi Wifi
  • experience with data protection legislation

 

The hours would be on site from 8am to 5pm during school term time with more flexibility possible during periods of school holidays.

 

Salary from £30,000 to £35,000.
