Group Policy Default Printers

Hi all,

 

Have a Windows 2019 Domain and Win 10 Clients. All users have printers pushed out via GP. One staff member has a local USB printer shared to another PC as well, as both these users want the local USB printer set as default.

 

What is the best way to ensure in GP that both these users get the local USB printer as default whilst the rest of the staff get the network printer as default please ?

 

Is this the best way of doing it as below, which I have read elsewhere : -

 

Create two printers in the GPP, and on one set it as the default, but then include an Item Level target excluding the user; then the other printer don't set the default and only apply it to the users in Item Level Targeting
