Tubby_The_Tuba Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Hi We are looking into putting our admissions form online as per MS Forms. However the MS forms we have with O365 isn't up to the task as we would like data validation i.e. only accepting dates in a certain range. What systems are you using for this? Is Survey Monkey upto it and worth the money? Any suggestions gratfully received. Tubby_The _Tuba
lmrogers Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I have never been given the money to purchase it but might be worth looking at Admissions+ They seem to be up to the job and allow import into SIMS 1
RLR Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 We currently use open apply admissions but will soon be moving over to operoo. Main reason for moving is operoo is cheaper and does quite a few others things so we can consolidate some of our systems into one. 1
Ditto Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I used Google Forms and it had a fair bit of validation built in. It worked well for me. There are a number of third party add-ons that extend basic functionality too. I've less experience with MS forms, in spite of running a brief meeting on them this morning! I had always assumed there is a way to extend ME forms functionality but perhaps I'm mistaken. I'm looking forward to hearing from others as I may need to build knowledge on the MS solution soon. Possibly related, have you looked at MS Power Automate as an option? 1
dmj Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Google Forms does 99% of what I've ever needed. If you want extra functionality, educational licenses are free for RedCap. It's used a lot for in medical research for doing surveys, and it's designed with security in mind. It's fairly straightforward to setup - create a DB and dump files onto a webserver and the documentation is comprehensive. overview: https://projectredcap.org/ licensing: https://projectredcap.org/partners/join/ 1
slugshead Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 We've just bought openapply after lots of recommendations from other colleges in our group https://www.openapply.com/ 1
fiza Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Does anyone use Admissions+? They seem to integrate with all the major MIS out there. Is it any good? What is support like?
paulkerton Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 We use Applicaa Admissions+. I don't get involved with it however, so I can't speak of it's qualities. https://applicaa.com/
