Great Torrington School are looking to recruit an ICT Technician. Working 37 hours per week on a full time contract with a friendly and supportive team.

 

Primary responsibilities for the role:

 

• Have responsibility to the ICT Senior Technician for the day to day running and servicing of the school’s computer network (i.e., client devices, network equipment and software configurations).

• Work in as flexible way as possible to accommodate the school’s needs.

• Manage and maintain the schools Room Booking systems.

• Centrally control and support whole school video / still cameras.

• Ensure the school’s digital platforms are secure and up to date.

• Provide 1st line ICT support to all school users and resolve helpdesk issues accordingly

• Assist with the installation and testing of software as required.

• Assist with the data backups, check, and log their status.

• Maintain and support the school Apple Mac media / music suite.

• Support whole school events, setting up audio / visual systems as required (i.e. Year 6/5 Transition events, Whole School assembly, Awards events, Christmas Concert, Summer Concert, Year 11 Leavers assembly etc.)

• Film and edit videos for Transition, Year 5 and Whole School Promotional.

• Perform hardware repairs and upgrades to ICT equipment as necessary.

• Support Assistant Headteacher with video editing of PodCasts.

• Perform system checks of core school systems and record logs / events accordingly.

• Assist with the maintenance of the GTS Website and TV Messaging system.

• Carry out regular monitoring, ordering, and fitting of ICT consumables.

• Support students by resetting passwords, monitoring printer credits, restoring work, and creating accounts as necessary.
