IT Technician

 

Are you passionate about technology? Want to make a difference supporting technology in education? At Stamford we have an exciting opportunity to join our technical support team.

 

As the Schools’ focus on our strategic objective “class of 2030”, we are expanding our team with this exciting role operating across our three sites, initially with a primary base at Stamford High School.

 

The Schools have recently invested £0.5m on an infrastructure project and £1.4m on a 1-2-1 device provision for all pupils from Year 4 to Year 13 to help prepare our students with the digital skills for the future.

 

We are looking for a technician with experience in the education sector although desirable but not essential. However, applicants must have a good understanding of IT technologies and at least 2 years’ previous experience. This role will be provide support to our 2000 devices, including all users in the Stamford Schools community.

 

The IT Technician role is 37.5 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 Monday – Friday and will on occasions be required to work on events promoting the schools which may involve some out of normal hours working for which notice will be given. Flexible working is available for this post; Full time, part time or term-time only.

 

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain qualifications in industry qualification and access to our Pluralsight platform.
