aac Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Hi there 1 member of staff has reported that he is unable to open Outlook (2019) on his office PC. It closes immediately after opening. At first I thought just a profile issue however when this did not resolve it I noticed the issue appears no matter what PC he uses in school. We use Office 365 and had a similar issue a year or so ago for which the view mode had changed and once put back via Outlook web access fixed the issue but in this case settings via Outlook web access look to be normal. I have also noticed Outlook opens fine Outside of school using Outlook 365... Thanks in advance Adam
aac Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 Hi there, no safe mode caused the same issue. Luckily and after a few hours troubleshooting I have resolved the issue and it turned out to be a rule the user created causing an issue as I have turned the rule off in Outlook web access and now the Outlook app is loading without issue. Oddly I tried deleting the rule and it started crashing again so had to recreate it and turn it off to resolve the issue which is something I cannot yet and probably will never be able to explain.
MatthewL Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 Never seen that before with a rule and I've got loads on my mailbox. Odd.
