How do FTTH project split the fiber optic ratio

I found no PLC splitter or FBT splitter on sale at UK market , I am wondering how does the installing Engineer split the fiber optic ratio for different home?

Generally there is a fiber optic distribution box ( build in 1xN PLC splitter) be installed on the wall of each floor , then connect each home through patch lead.

I can only speak for a UK suburban cul-de-sac. But based on what the Openreach guy told me, each property has it's own fiber link back to the splitter in the street cab.
