Hi all,

we seemed to have been tasked at looking into some science lab asset management software and wondered if anyone else ever been asked the same or if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I have a little google and obviously there is one that comes up called Lab expert, however I'm aware this is just a Microsoft access db that each client shares and was wondering if there was anything else available as an alternative that's possibly web based and can be accessed on tablets and such.

Thanks

Lab Expert is well regarded by those that use it, we don't.

Lab Logger is brilliant for allocating equipment to experiments/labs/teachers. A bit of a fiddle to enter timetables etc but saves LOTS of time. Also handles dishing out risk assessments with appropriate kit/chemicals. Cheap too, only £99/year - free for the first. Wouldn't be without it!

Just out of curiosity I looked at Lab Expert, it does appear that it can be hosted on a SQL server and that the access is just a front end for it.

With that in mind could you get a developer to integrate and create a front end linking to the SQL database in a web form? Just my thoughts in what I'd do if its a good system adapt it if you can!
