I have a room booking system set up on SharePoint and we have lists for each room.

Staff can add items to these lists, view each others and delete their own.

I have one list that was set up exactly the same way as all the others, but for this particular list, people (including myself as site admin) can only delete items from the AllItems.aspx view. When we view it using calendar.aspx there is no delete button for any items on the list. When we hover our mouse over days in the calendar, the little 'Add' link doesn't appear either.

Opening the same list and altering the url ending to AllItems.aspx rather than calendar.aspx DOES allow deletions. The calendar view works as expected for all other lists in the same site.

The permissions seem different for each view, is that even possible?

This is SharePoint online and we haven't done any tweaking of permission levels at all. The list doesn't have versioning or retention policies.

Has anyone else come across this?
