ICT Technician

 

Hours: Full time

Salary: GDST Scale Grade 3 £24,000 - £26,500 pa, dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

 

This is an opportunity for a customer focused professional with a strong technical understanding of ICT systems to join an ambitious school looking to put itself at the forefront of educational technology.

 

You will join a friendly and collaborative IT Support Team who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the school network, assisting with staff and student requests to support teaching and learning. The team are also responsible for the technical setups required for many of the school events.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

· Monitoring and maintaining the school’s ICT systems

· Assisting with installing new and upgraded ICT systems

· Ensuring the integrity of the Schools ICT system is maintained

· Supporting staff and students in their use of technology

 

You will need experience of diagnosing and resolving technical errors and experience of providing advice and guidance to users in their use of ICT equipment.

 

You will also need experience of working with a service desk tool and Microsoft operating systems.

 

Experience of iOS and OSX and an understanding of the latest trends in ICT are equally important.
