supportman Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 I've just tried Windows 11 in place upgrade with the assistant app and it goes right through to the reboot stage but then fails and rolls back changes. I've never had this issue before. I tried updating the Bios and the Intel drivers beforehand but same thing. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot it? Is there a log file somewhere?
Steve21 Posted October 11, 2021 Posted October 11, 2021 There's normally a hidden folder in the root of C: something along the lines of C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther and then inside there there's a few files that might setup like the setuperr and the compat files at the top that'll talk about driver blocking etc Steve 1
supportman Posted October 13, 2021 Author Posted October 13, 2021 It was something to do with the boot MBR partition in the end. I just removed the old partitions and did a clean install. Worked very well on my home PC.
