fiza Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I am Super Admin on 1 school domain and the "Manager" on a shared drive in another school domain. I have all the right settings in Drives and Docs to allow me to move files out of a shared drive in the first domain but when I try I get "You can't moves files outside of 'school name' ". I have a ticket open with Google Support but the tech there cannot work out what the issue is. I was hoping someone on here might have a clue?
Michael Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I know not ideal, but if you copy, then delete thereafter from the source, does this work?
fiza Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 (edited) I know not ideal, but if you copy, then delete thereafter from the source, does this work? You mean copy to the new shared drive in the other domain? edit: This still gives the same error Edited October 1, 2021 by fiza
Michael Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 You mean copy to the new shared drive in the other domain? Yes, I can't see why it wouldn't work as Content Managers can do this. Still protects data and better to have multiple copies whilst migrating. Just archive in a folder so you know where you're at from the source.
