Just a general warning about MS KB5005565.

 

We have had a small number of users report that once this update is installed, Excel and Adobe Reader fail to open some files stored on network locations.

 

Removing the update resolves the problem.

This may explain an issue one of our users has been having so we'll have to take a look and see if this KB is installed and if the problem is resolved or not on its uninstallation.

I have a case open with MS so anything I find out, I will post here

Adobe Reader - Installing or reinstalling the latest update (or any update for that matter) seems to resolve the problem, at least in the short term.
