IAMCloud_Curt Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Hi, School have had a new server build over the summer. Since then, we have encountered a rather weird bug. I would usually deploy a print from \\SCHOOL-PRINT server (Print Management) and deploy to a staff/student group policy. 9 times out of 10 it will then pull the printer on a logon. I had a couple of tickets the other day which bought it to my attention, no printers we're installed. I thought, for now I would just remote on and install it for them manually. Well - I couldn't (see below error) As I tried installing it prompts you to install the driver, then it fails. However when you go into Print Management on the laptop - the driver is actually already installed on the PC and is showing there so why would it need to install it again? I think it's stuck somehow... I began to look at why it wasn't pulling it from GPO - I ran GPO Results Wizard on an affected laptop and the printer deployment has this error When I had a look further into that error websites we're offering guides how to fix, basically by disabling Print & Point restrictions. So i've disabled them for PC/User policies. No change. Spoke to someone last night, they said enable Print & Point Restrictions and bypass/ignore security prompts. Still nothing. I have ran a new GPO Results Wizard and it's pulled through Print & Point restriction changes from last nights changes but still nothing. Having this issue at 2 schools at the moment. Any help is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Curt
