kidpressingbuttons Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 We have recently changed all switches to unifi. Ever since, our DHCP dies every few hours and refuses to give out addresses. Only thing to fix it is to reboot the whole vm. Anyone seen this before and can suggest something?
robyholmes Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Have you tried putting then on reversed or even static IPs? 1
caffrey Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 DHCP on the controller ? Check the CPU usage, ours used to spike causing all kinds of issues (On a USG pro) 1

ITGURU Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Check firmware? we had an similar issue with Unify APs, there was an issue where our wireless clients would only get a 169. address and we were using Windows Server DHCP. There was an issue with DHCP traffic passing the APs, and a new firmware fixed it. 1
XiJ Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 There was a firmware - 4.21 or 4.24 think that did cause/ have issues with windows dhcp servers. Long since fixed. 1
AJWhite1970 Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Personally I wound all my AP's back to 4.20 via SSH and since then (he says looking for wood to touch...) not had a single issue.... 1

Turned out to be firmware on the older unifis we had. All now running the latest and working great! Thanks all 1
