We have a server 2003/xp network. waht i want to do is deploy through GPO the latest version of Quicktime. I know it comes with iTunes but i only want to deploy quictime.

Does quicktime come with a .msi package for deployment?

Can this be done or has any one done it?

Please advise me....!

I thoughti had read on the forum somewhere about this but i cannot find it now from a search.

You can download the Quicktime standalone exe from here :

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html

1. Run "QuickTimeInstaller.exe /a" and the GUI will allow you to pick your Network Distribution Point you also need to get the ISScript11.msi from your temp dir and copy it into the same folder as the quicktime.msi.

2. Set a GPO to install using the msi and add the command parameter issetupdriven=1

3. Link the ISScript11.msi and QuickTime.msi in the GPO you created. They need to be installed in that order.

There's quite a bit of info here about it too if that doesn't work :)

Hope it helps.

Unfortunately the latest version seems to take all other info and cr*p on it from a great height.

I can't find the ISScript11.msi for starters and using the /a switch just provides me with a "helpful" screen telling me I should use the /a switch or a bunch of others... circle of hell begins here.

In short, I'm not having a particularly fun experience with this lot today... :?
