Due to team expansion, Worcester College, Oxford (a College of the University of Oxford) seeks to appoint two IT technician/officers.

 

The College IT team is responsible for the provision and support of a wide range of technology services within the College. This is an exciting time to join Worcester’s IT team as we begin to look at how we take the lessons learned from our COVID-19 response and apply them in the future. You will have a keen interest in technology and how it can be used to support and improve the ways we study and work.

 

The IT Officer role is responsible for the effective delivery of customer-focus IT support to a wide range of College users. This can be via our online helpdesk system, phone, Microsoft teams or in-person. You will work closely with the rest of the IT team as well as with University's central IT services. You will have excellent customer service and communication skills and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and varied environment with a diverse range of challenges and users.

 

As well as user support, you will undertake planned work and participate in departmental projects. There is substantial opportunity to gain skills and experience outside first line support.
