[sims] Scheduling teams meeting from SIMS timetable

We use Teams and teachers and students are in teams as SIMS classes using Microsoft SDS (OneRoster) but we want to be able schedule the lessons automatically so staff do not have to spend the first few hours of the term setting up their timetable.

 

Has anyone done this successfully and if so how?

Personally we use Salamander which can put timetables (but not Teams Meetings) into Outlook, however last time I checked I got the impression they didn't feel the Team Meetings with the above api worked in the way most of their customers needed it to.

This would be a helpful new feature for new-normal but I've yet to see the integration developed for SIMS schools.

Another heavy lifting workaround with EdulinkOne allows teachers to add their reoccurring SIMS timetable to Outlook via a couple of clicks. As a one off they'd just paste class url in the appointment so reminders pop-up the Teams/Meet/Zoom link.
