Kendrick School is a successful 11-18 girls’ grammar school in the centre of Reading. As an expanding school this is an exciting time to be joining the IT team.

This is a new role in the IT department reporting directly to the Network Manager and as a team of two, you will work alongside the Network manager to provide IT Services to support On-site and Cloud infrastructure for the whole school. Key role responsibilities are to ensure the school’s information technology systems and solutions function efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the school and its users, enabling effective teaching and learning throughout the School and to ensure the security of data and the system. The successful candidate would also be responsible for installation, maintenance and security of the school network, hardware and software. The applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience of developing and maintaining high quality IT networks. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, including change project management. The candidate will preferably have experience of working in a secondary school or a further education establishment.Applicants must have skills in Servers, Networking, Desktop deployments, Backups and Office365 as a minimum. This will be a very busy role and the successful candidate must be able to work calmly under pressure, use their own initiative and work well as part of a team. Being versatile, proactive and well organised are key skills required for this role.
