Edu-IT Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Can somebody suggest a PDU that will fit this cabinet? [h=1]Excel Environ CR800 42U 800w x 800d Black[/h]
slugshead Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 https://hs-wales.co.uk/product/excel-5-way-horizontal-pdu-5x-uk-sockets-uk-plug Standard 19" PDU
SamanthaD Posted June 28, 2021 Posted June 28, 2021 Totally depends on what you're filling it with, and if you're using a UPS. Work out the power requirements in amps, then add in some headroom, then you can look at what distribution system would work best. But in that rack any 19" system will fit fine.
Edu-IT Posted July 14, 2021 Author Posted July 14, 2021 Probably a daft question but how do vertical PDU's mount in a cabinet? The cabinet is Excel ER 42U and this is the PDU I am looking at. Can't work out whether I need additional brackets? https://cpc.farnell.com/lms-data/pdu-12ws-v-32cmdo/12-way-vert-13a-sw-pdu-32a-plug/dp/EN84502

I've looked up the part code on other sites and it's the same image. Where do you find the brackets / adapters? I've tried the Excel networking website but no joy... Edu-IT Posted July 14, 2021 Author Posted July 14, 2021 Found them I think. https://excel-networking.com/catalogue/product/555-001
Steve21 Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 I still personally think it's the wrong pic, as this is the surge protected version of the same model: https://www.broadbandbuyer.com/products/17824-lms-data-pdu-12ws-v-sp-32cmdo/#content This is (dynamode being lms) the 8 plug version: https://www.dynamode.co.uk/products/copy-of-10-way-vertically-mounted-rackmount-32a-commando-pdu-uk-sockets https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0305/6772/7243/products/PDUinCabient20U_426e5216-0b71-43a1-ae74-c040779a27d1.jpg?v=1604916500 But in regards to brackets it's normally the PDU company who make them rather than the rack (unless it's same brand) for example tripp models are like these: https://www.comms-express.com/products/tripp-lite-bracket-accessory//?keyword=&campaign=9204241339&ad=94746373418&ADtype=&Productcode=2536987&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI997j6Knj8QIVz9rVCh20pQtGEAQYASABEgIeIvD_BwE so you'd need the LMS/dynamode versions if they do them Steve - - - Updated - - - Found them I think. https://excel-networking.com/catalogue/product/555-001 Look at the PDU though, that's for the back mounted holes on the picture https://media.excel-networking.com/images/EXCEL/E0299-2_1600px.jpg Steve
slugshead Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Found them I think. https://excel-networking.com/catalogue/product/555-001 They've got them on that site I linked above. The mounts on the ends of the PDU unscrew and you can flip them and reattach, like the brackets on a switch
