Getting Moodle to logon using a different https port

Does anyone know how i can get moodle to logon using an alternative ssl port (not 443). I only want logon to be on https.

 

Any ideas?

Having not used Moodle I may be pointing you in the wrong direction but to make Moodle use a different port for SSL you'll need to modify your web server config.

 

For Apache you'll need to change the Listen and VirtualHost values from 443 to the other port number. HTH

i done that. but when i click logon moodle still looks for the https on port 443

Ahah, is there no option to change the ssl port in the config anywhere?

change the address in the login.php

There isn't anything like that in login.php, unless i'm using CAS to authenticate which i'm not (I'm using LDAP)

Sorry. My bad. You need to alter how the $CFG->httpswwwroot is generated in the httpsrequired() function in /lib/moodlelib.php.

Tried loads of different things in that function, none seemed to work. Thanks though.
