cadams10 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 We have a number of Surface dock 2’s connected to a projector and monitor (Plus keyboard/mouse/visualiser and interactive whiteboard). We have found that when you connect a Surface (Pro 7) into the dock its very intermittent if both the Monitor and projector will be detected by the Surface, USB devices are usually detected but not always. Unplugging the dock and plugging it back in will usually resolve the issue. We have tried USB C to HDMI cables and the official Microsoft USB-C to HDMI dongles. Has anyone else experienced issues like these with Surface Docks?

snagrat Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 We experienced this and it was all down to the cables. The official Microsoft USB-C to HDMI cables worked fine but others did not. In the end we found some USB-C to HDMI adaptors rather than direct leads that worked fine
