Link for a section of a YouTube video

Hiya,

 

I know you can have a URL which contains where you want to start watching a YouTube video, but is it possible to have a link which also contains when it should stop? Head wants the students to watch the middle bit only of a video as that's the relevant part to what he's talking about.

You can -

 

Take this video:

 

If you amend the URL to get rid of "watch?v=" and replace it with "embed/" you can then append "?start=&end=" for example;

 

https://www.youtube.com/embed/tG7hYnMyxyY?start=120&end=130

 

The above will play the video from 2 minutes and then automatically end 2 minutes 10
