Sharepoint and Sway

Hi,

 

I am working in a School that is using MS 365 and I would like to use Sharepoint to create an Intranet site, but I have been told that we don't have the licence for the Sharepoint "App". Also I would like to use SWAY but cannot see this either.

 

I have looked at the options A1, A3 etc and both seem to include these programmes, is it possible to have a MS 365 licence without these programmes/apps?

Not really no, they both fall under the free school licenses either route. Unless it's just physically been turned off in your license allocation (As you can assign bit by bit)

So the School admin should be able to turn them on for me?

 

I did ask for Sharepoint to be turned on but she said that we don't have the licence for the app, I am not convinced that that is true.

Do you have any other O365 services? If you have Teams, if you look at the Files you will find the option to "Open in SharePoint". There's no licensing option for O365 that doesn't include SharePoint.

 

With Sway, I guess it's something that could have been turned off, but it's included on the very cheapest offerings, so I'd be amazed if it's somehow not licensed for you.

 

Have you tried going to the website sway.com?
