Mail Merge attachment

just seeing if someone can help me out, i have been asked to look at how our admin do a mail merge with an attachment. now i can do a mail merge but don't know how to include the attachment is there a plugin needed or something.

I couldn't believe it wasn't straightforward and built in the first time I tried - but it isn't. You still need third party software to achieve it and I was never comfortable doing that as it means giving access to your mail system to someone whose security credentials you have limited knowledge of.

 

My workaround is to put the attachment on OneDrive or Google Drive and include the link. I was challenged on how secure that was, but if it's internal, you can require login. If it's external and you set it to "anyone with the link" it's a vanishingly small possibility of someone coming across it if they haven't been sent the link and recipients could forward and attachment as easily as they could forward the link.
