Kitkatninja Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 (edited) Hi All, Has anyone else experienced the following issue: The Teams plug-in in Outlook 2016 is no longer present As in the Teams button is no longer present, the plug-in is no longer available in File -> Options -> Add ins -> Coms Addins (see below what it should look like) I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, installing the 64 bit version, the 32 bit version, logging off, logging back on, and yes I've restarted the laptops... I finally found a diagnostic tool from MS, downloaded/installed/run, it comes up saying that Teams is not installed... Yes Teams is running. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix? As it started with 1 person, then 3, now 4 - all within 2 days... And I am predicting that more will be coming up this error. Please note, that we haven't integrated our Exchange server into Office365 yet - currently they are two different systems. -Kitkatninja Edited February 4, 2021 by Kitkatninja change of title and it has now been sorted
Steve21 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 We found it keeps getting disabled by Outlook due to "being slow/unreliable" on older kit. If you open Outlook, File, then Manage COM addins, is it showing as being in there as disabled due to this? Many thanks, Steve 1
chazzy2501 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Teams Outlook integration has to be enabled on the Teams App. 1
Kitkatninja Posted February 4, 2021 Author Posted February 4, 2021 Found out it was a policy that was blocking this... All sorted now, thanks for you help
