Teams assignments not saving correctly

Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, I did look for a post but didn't find anything yet.

A couple of the teaching staff at my school have reported problems with Assignments set in Teams. This is where they have set an assignment with a Word Document and put the share option as "Students can edit their own copy".

Main issues have been:

 

 

• Students work hasn't saved back to the Team, I have also checked the Sharepoint site and no sign of it there either.
  
• Some students are reporting that they cannot edit the Word document at all.
  
• Some work being present in Sharepoint but not showing in Teams to the teacher.
  

 

I have suggested the obvious to them which is to get them to update Teams apps, ensure they have Office365 or the office apps installed on their device. I am also trying to gain an idea on what devices these students are using and if there is a pattern that can be identified.

 

I just wanted to know if anyone had seen anything like this or had any suggestions that I am missing?

Hi Niall,

 

We're seeing something similar here with PowerPoints which have been assigned via Assignments in Teams.

 

It's been working fine up until last week.

Hi there

 

I think it might be this issue - it's the Teams mobile app on iOS and Android, and attachments aren't working. Been ongoing for weeks now and MS keep saying they're looking into it, but I've not seen any progress...

We're seeing it through a browser but sounds similar.
