e_g_r Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 anyone come accross this before? The heads laptop sits on a usb port replicator to which her printer is attached. When she docs her laptop it detects her printer and installs a copy of itself so she now has half a dozen of the same printer installed on her laptop. Can't figure out how to stop this happening and i've got better things to do (like install the KS3 ICT testing software) than spend all day looking at her bleedy laptop. Any help will be much appreciated.
pete Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Does it do the same thing if you have local admin rights?
pete Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 ah, not what I thought then. Script to delete all printers when it undocks / shuts down? It's a hack, but it'd get her off your back.
Geoff Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Docking software is broken. Go hunt for an update? (Is it a Dell...?)
