Remote Learning Grants - Stone and DFE

[StoneGroup_JackW]

Good Afternoon All,

After yesterday's news a happy new year seems a long way away, but never the less I hope everyone is safe and well.

I'm sure all of you know will know by now, but for the few who may not, I just wanted to let you know the below information.

As we once again see COVID-19 restrictions tightened, with the country heading into another lockdown, we know how challenging it is for schools and parents who want to provide safe and rich learning environments for their children. I wanted to reassure you that Stone are still here to help during these difficult times. As you may well know by now, the Department for Education made funds available for schools and MATs in England, to provide access to remote learning. This means that your school or academy trust can continue to remotely deliver the very best education, using the latest devices to create the best remote learning environments possible.

Subject to eligibility, the scheme offers schools grants of up to £2,000 to help fund the implementation of a ‘Digital Education Platform’. The DfE has also lifted restrictions on 10 schools in a Trust claiming for funding. There is now no limit on the number of schools, that are part of a Multi-Academy Trust, that can claim.

We are working closely with the Department for Education (DfE) and Microsoft to help schools implement a number of Digital Education Platforms that are supporting remote learning using Office 365 Education including Microsoft Teams and Windows 10 powered devices, alongside the great range of value-added services you’ve always got from Stone.

As always we are here to help where we can, feel free to contact me via PM or [email protected], 01785 786831 or via your usual Account manager

Stay Safe

Jack
