Senior ICT Technician – Independent School (Surrey)

Our client, a specialist ICT managed service provider in the education sector, are currently looking for an experienced ICT Technician to join their existing team.

Reporting to the Head of Support, you will be tasked with maintaining the IT infrastructure within an Independent School in Surrey.

 

The role will be varied and your duties may include 1^st/2^nd line support escalating to a centralized helpdesk when required, managing the network, VoIP, CCTV and WiFi systems, installation of new and extending data cabling infrastructures and installation / management of AV equipment.

 

NB: You don’t have to drive for this role but having a full UK driving license and daily access to a car or motorbike will be beneficial.

 

 

Technical Skills:

 

· Firewalls, Switches, Routers, other Networking technologies

· Cisco VOIP systems

· Wi-Fi systems – preferably Cisco/Meraki

· CCTV systems

· Installation, Termination, Testing of cabling technologies (Cat5e, Cat6a, Fibre)

· AV equipment (Interactive Whiteboards, Projectors, Touchscreen TVs)

 

 

Requirements :

 

· Experience working within the Education Sector in a relevant ICT position

· Ability to organise and prioritise workloads

· Able to communicate effectively at different levels throughout the college
