Veyon Internet Control addon not blocking traffic through proxy

We are trialling the internet addon module in Veyon, yet no matter which option we use in configurator, when we try and block internet on a client although it correctly block traffic directly from the browser, however any traffic which is directed to our (non-transparent) proxy still gets through.

I have tried adding the proxy port into configurator in firewall mode, along with specifying the proxy address. In routing table mode I have tried both options, again specifying the proxy address.

I'm at a loss how to get this to work as we don't have the option at present to switch to transparent proxy.

Can anyone help?
