southhamster Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Hello all. I've been asked to look at finding a web based solution to replace our manual requistion/authorisation procedure as when the school is closed/WFH not everyone has an MFP at home they can scan and submit signed forms with. Ideally integrated with google g-suite, Unfortunately just using forms is not really auditable or secure. I have found a couple of of options but they are 390$/month for eg kissflow https://kissflow.com/process/pricing/ or form publisher https://sites.google.com/site/scriptsexamples/available-web-apps/form-publisher/pricing $79/year but only for one person (we would need to 2 to cover illness etc) Just wondering if anyone else has some good ideas? I suppose another way of looking at is, would form publisher save us $160 per year of paper and time?
timbo343 Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Look at form approvals which is an addon (paid) for using on Google forms. https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/form_approvals/835043066020 We have purchased it and using them. 2
timbo343 Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 You could also try Microsoft Forms with what called Flows - i think its called power automate - if you have a MS Tenant though it can get a bit complex. Our HR lady sorted the Form Approvals system out without any help. 1
jthompson Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 I was going to suggest using MS Power Automate in some way. You could have it start an approval each time a row is added to a Google Sheet (i.e. whenever a Google Form response is submitted) if you already have a Google Form that you're wanting to use. I've not done that myself, but I've been doing something similar with approvals whenever an item is added to a particular SharePoint list. PA flows timeout after 30 days, however, so you have to try and account for non-responses within that time, somehow. 1
