Jobos Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) Currently using Sophos SSL VPN where staff need to manually logon the Sophos client each time they need to connect to VPN. Sophos have a IPSec connect client that connects automatically at user logon so would save staff having to manually connect and I was wondering if it’s worth changing over to the connect client. When I heard about the connect client I was hoping the connection would be made at machine startup to enable software deployment or GP policies to apply but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Edit: found this which give an overview. https://www.avanet.com/en/kb/sophos-connect-client-vs-ssl-vpn-client-what-s-the-difference Edited October 28, 2020 by Jobos Added link 1
MatthewL Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Out of the two for me I would go with the IPSec one, one less thing for the user and more control of devices.
