Teams background -works on one computer, not the other

Evening. We have deployed teams, the desktop download, to all staff computers. Today we ran a test parents evening. One person could get the background option to chage the background, the other, with an identical computer, couldn't.

My job next week is to get the one who could see it to log into the other computer but had this happened to anyone here?

Same version of teams, identical computers bought the same day.

I think it uses a combination of face detection and movement detection. Maybe poor lighting or too little contrast between the (real) background and the person.

 

I managed to sneak up on mine [emoji23] Took quite a while to achieve though! Disembodied head was easier to achieve...

We find that background effects isn't available the first time Teams runs/installs for that user profile. If you quit Teams fully by right clicking the systray icon and restart it, then it's available.
