IP/PoE Class Change Systems

Class change is a process which when managed well, can lead to increased learning time and improved pupil behaviour.

 

Bodet’s Class Change System combines IP/PoE hardware such as wall and ceiling mounted sounders and PC scheduling software. It operates primarily over your existing network, allowing you to schedule class change alerts to be broadcast over your entire school, or just to customisable zones.

 

Additional benefits of Bodet’s Class Change System include

 

• Minimise your workload – class change alerts can be scheduled and are synchronised across your school.
  
• Customise your messages - with the IP/PoE microphone you can create your own bespoke alerts in line with your school messaging.
  
• Increase safety – Bodet’s Class Change System can be used to broadcast automated coronavirus safety measure reminders every 15 or 30 minutes, or just before break times. It can also broadcast lockdown alerts.
  
• Increase efficiency & communication – stagger lunches for different year groups, and broadcast announcements at the school gate to encourage punctuality.
  

One of our customers, Djanogly City Academy, is using our Class Change System in a number of different ways, resulting in increased student punctuality, behaviour and attendance. They have improved their class change procedure by signalling the end of lessons by playing music, introduced a triple split lunch time announced by pre-recorded tailored alerts and even use broadcasts through external sounders at the school gates to clearly announce when the gates will close.

 

Djanogly City Academy commented, “Class changes are smooth and efficient and the corridors are empty by the time the music stops. The sense of urgency it instils has dramatically improved punctuality and avoids staff/student confrontation in the corridors, which has resulted in much better behaviour throughout the school.”

This Class Change System can either be stand-alone, or part of a larger IP/PoE System which can also include Lockdown Alerts, Synchronised Clocks, PA functionality and music streaming.
