Connecting interactive board using serial(Win10)

Hi,

 

We recently upgraded our OS from Windows7 to Windows10 and I've gotten all of our boards that are using USB working but I can't get any of the boards that uses a serial connection to work. Any ideas?

 

All the drivers for the serial ports have been installed and activmanager can detect the port(Com3) but it will not connected.

Using version 5.7 seems to be the suggestion for serial boards, making sure you select 'Serial Drivers' as you install it.

I can't confirm the exact version number. I just know V5.7 is suggested for the old V1 and V2 serial connected boards. The key thing is making sure you select serial drivers during the installation.

Not sure about the "select serial drivers" option because we used pdq deploy to silent install activinspire, I can uninstall and reinstall manually see if that works.
