maxrebo Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 We've been asked to create a email account that parents can email to which will then auto reply with a message on the lines of ...Thanks for your email, a member of staff will reply to you in the next 24hrs... Would it be best to use Automatic replies for this in the mailbox settings? or is there a better way? Using Office 365. Thanks
sister_annex Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 We've setup a shared mailbox to do this - instead of automatic replies (they only send once per email address iirc) we setup a rule to Have server reply using a specific message on every incoming mail (we've done this specifcally for vacancies and finance)

I believe I set it on the Mailbox, and (annoyingly) the option to have the server send an email reply is only available if you use the Outlook Desktop App I think I used the instructions here: https://www.codetwo.com/admins-blog/setting-auto-reply-shared-mailbox/ HTH
